Therapeutic mechanism of action
We re-educate the immune system to immune tolerate the specific body’s own cell (autoantigen) that is causing the autoimmune response, by the administration of the specific autoantigen itself!
This approach is called
Antigen-Specific Immunotherapy (ASI)*
and involves two mechanisms:
Studies have demonstrated that the delivery of whole autoantigens or autoantigenic peptides can provide robust, sustained health and protection from inflammatory autoimmune diseases.
Production approach
The viral structure stabilizes and displays several peptide copies on its surface, this increases peptides immunogenicity.
